Argentinian figurative artist, Pablo Martin has produced 5 small drawings for us based on the theme, ‘MASKS’.
Playful, moody and typical of his style of work, these work great on their own or in a series.
artschool.v1
A collaborative art initiative built on a simple
but powerful idea: reclaim, create, and give back.
Artists are invited to paint original works on discarded sketchbook covers
- objects once destined for the trash, now transformed into collectible pieces
of contemporary art. Each work expresses a shared commitment to supporting
creativity in education.
The works are auctioned through eBay - and every bid contributes directly
to funding school and college art departments - providing much-needed equipment,
materials, and opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach.
Founded by established artist and art teacher Dan Cimmermann, ArtSchool is rooted
in firsthand experience of the challenges facing arts education. It bridges the gap
between practicing artists and learning environments, creating a cycle of support
where the professional art community helps to nurture the next generation.
Schools and colleges are invited to apply for funding, outlining their specific needs -
whether it’s new equipment, materials, or general support. Each case is considered
individually, ensuring that resources are distributed thoughtfully and where they will
have the greatest impact.
The project has already drawn contributions from a strong lineup of established
artists - including Ace, Jamel Armand, Run, Andrew Salgado, Dotmaster, Jordy
Kerwick, and Ange Bell.
ArtSchool is more than an art project. By turning discarded materials into meaningful
works and connecting artists with education, it champions both sustainability and
access. Showing that small acts of creativity can lead to lasting change.
