5TH DEC - MIXED-MEDIA DRAWING WORKSHOP @ SALTS MILL

Salts Mill, Saltaire

Friday 5th December

10am to 1pm

Create a series of mixed media portraits/observational drawings using a variety of ‘dry’ media - pencils, crayons, felt pens, fine-liners, permanent markers, posca pens, wax crayons and oil pastels. Gradually build up detail on top of experimental mark making techniques, refining drawing as you progress. You will have the opportunity to work on a large scale to produce engaging, powerful pieces of work.

All skill levels welcome.
All materials provided.
£50 per person

Salts Mill is the fabulous home of an amazing collection of David Hockney’s artwork. Situated in the heart of UNESCO World Heritage town, Saltaire, use the workshop as an excuse to visit the Mill, enjoy the work of Hockney, visit the art shop, cafe, super restaurant and shops and explore the town. Village general store is particularly worth a visit, a short walk away through the historical streets of Saltaire.

Easy to reach by train or car (lots of parking)

10 - 1pm. Lunch can be booked at Salts Diner for after the workshop. Salts Mill is superb for finding the perfect Christmas gift through its retail spaces: books, art materials, design products, antiques and more.
